Great Britain [Elite League]

Elite League

  • Table standings are not very important in Elite League. Team forms are constantly changing and surprises are very often. Home and away performances are usually more important than position on table.
  • Keeping track of livescores is not an easy task. Both ih-update.co.uk and britishicehockey.co.uk are putting much effort in providing live scores, but they don't have all matches covered. Good source for livescoring are teams' forums. There are usually some members attending match and posting all result changes.
  • Some teams have good media coverage on-line, so be sure to check those links for news.
  • All matches involving Cardiff Devils have excellent previews on Devils' web site.
  • Ice-pad size is very important, as 'big' teams tend to struggle when playing at small rinks and vice-a-versa.
  • There are two rounds each weekend and team's performances on Sunday are rarely connected to Saturday's performances.
